Blogs from Blogger usually gets a high ranking on Google search engine as it is one of their own product. And their search spider visit the blogs on a regular basis.

You can also add Google Adsense to it and earn a revenue. The designs are really simple and it requires no technical skills. There are a lot of easy add-on for you to make your blog look really dynamic.

It is an excellent option for beginners. There is not much customization needs to be done as well.

This is one of my test blog on Blogger. It's about website marketing, I have put a link for this site from that blog. And it actually shows in back links count. It helps me build a small portion of credibility from the search engines.

Wordpress has a lot more functionality and plugins than Bloggers but it is not that flexible for beginners. Wordpress is an open-source and I would recommend it for more intense bloggers such if you want to build a blog using your own domain name.

Keep posting contents on your blog on a regular basis. If your blog is active, search engines will pick it up and will keep visiting your blog.

In conclusion, you can either use this platform to keep your visitors updated about your website or start a blog completely from scratch. It brings you highly targeted long term traffic from both search engines and human visitors.
