Our latest client, American Metal Technologies. We are working on developing a new site and a custom client portal for them.

My company focuses on small business owners and individuals looking to market themselves on the web. We have done business for clients in the continental United States as well as Europe and specialize in website redesign, website design, logo design and graphic design. We have also designed a t-shirt print for a local dance convention and have worked with designers across the World.

I started my company after taking a job at my local University doing web development. My mom had a few friends that were looking to get a website, but had nowhere to start and thought the prices on the Internet were very expensive. At the time I had no designer, but started the first designs myself. Once I started getting more business I brought my high school friend and roommate into the picture. He is the person that came up with the name, Breakpoint Designs.

We originally came up with the name Breakpoint Designs because a breakpoint is a point in the code where the program no longer executes if there is a problem. In the case of our clients, the problems start with us. We are the breakpoint. After years of working on my business I have done business with clients in Germany, the U.K., Wisconsin, California and Pennsylvania. I have also had designers in Toronoto, India and Chicago. Recently I have teamed up with a friend from college and he handles all of my client relations, working as a project manager. This allows me to focus on my work, while getting more clientele.

The best part of owning a business is the ability to work when you want. I set the deadlines of my websites and I get to dictate when I want to do the work. This also allows for me to dictate if I have too much going on in my life already and I stop taking big jobs. It is a very rewarding experience.
