My interest for e-commerce began back in high school when a friend of mine told me that he was running a business on Ebay.

Although I had already heard about before from others but did not really paid much attention.

So I tried my luck but later figured out that it's not something I want to do in the long-run.

But it was a great experience for me as a newbie.

Since I wasn't so interested on Ebay, I began my research on other ways of making cash online. I found a lot of e-journals but only few of them were worth reading and the rest were bunch of sales pitch.

I also spent a lot of money on useless ebooks, software and memberships that were designed by some famous net-gurus.

Even though I lost my money but gained a lot of experience on how things really work online and most importantly I have be more careful on my investment.

At last, I found The Challenge , formally known as Thirty Day Challenge. This was probably the only thing that actually taught me the real way of making money online.

It's a free service, dedicated to teach people how to make their first dollar online. I was surprised when I read that because all the other websites I visited were mentioning that their product will help anyone to make minimum a 100$/hour.

But The Challenge was different, they weren't saying that they will show the quick way to make tons of money in my first day (which is never possible) but they were giving tutorials for different tips and techniques on how to start.

I did the challenge on 2008 and was an amazing experience for me. Their video tutorials were simply amazing.

After going through the challenge, I already had the broad picture in my mind. Now the question was how am I gone use it for something I am going to do in the long-run.

So I took a web creation class in college and learnt how to make basic websites using Dreamweaver.

So I built a website using on "Quit Smoking" called 2-quit-smoking.com (currently inactive). I worked really hard and even bought professional template but even after running the site for 3-4 months, I was not able to get any traffic.

I tried to promote it on Facebook and myspace but it did not help much.

I was planning to hire a professional to promote the site but while browsing through the web, I found SiteSell .

And I strongly believe that it was the best thing I ever found on the net. I was reading through their ebooks, articles and also read the reviews.

I was really approached by the product itself and tools that comes with it. But I was hesitating when I saw the price as at that time it was only 299$/year and we could pay monthly.

But then I was thinking that if I would have hired someone to do the SEO for my other website, he would even charge more so why not take a chance and see what happens.

That was the best decision I ever made. It not only saved my money but helped me create a business instead of just a website.

As well as it taught me how to self-promote my site without hiring any professional.

I would strongly recommend Site Build It! to everyone. Not because I am trying to make my affiliate commission but this product is much better than those useless products that I have spent my money on.

It's my second year now and I am making about 500$ a month, which is not a lot but since I am a full-time student and work on my sites on a part-time basis, I think it's still a good amount.

And it's growing!
